A conservatoire trained violinist for hire - I have years upon years of experience playing all kinds of gigs from leading a symphony orchestra, providing background music at wedding receptions, recording film soundtracks to jamming with singer-songwriters, collaborating with bands. I am also knowledgable in live electronics and recording techniques which I have applied this to others work with great success.

I am proficient in the Mandolin, Guitar, Bass Guitar, Piano and various percussion, have various bookable side projects such as the Yitzak gypsy band and my solo electronics work (see links page).

I also have a shed load of contacts and if you need to get a group together - can fix that for you.

My prices are highly negotiable - having done an hours work for £200 and, contrastingly, a weeks work for free in the past. It depends entirely on the situation and requirements.

I specialize in painting and digital art (using a graphics tablet) but am equally at home with photography and photo manipulation. I have been exhibited and have been approached with many commissions. As well as traditional commissioned paintings my work has been used for album covers, flyers and - as you can see - website design!

Again, prices are variable, but as a benchmark I charge £60 for a medium sized canvas painting (roughtly twice the price of buying materials etc.)

Composition

I studied composition as part of my conservatoire course and two of my works have had their world debut, one due to be premiered in the summer and one (commissioned) in the pipeline. I can write serious composition - for performance or a highly original gift, arrangements of pre-existing music - for performace by string quartet at a reception for example, or music for film, computer game, or even - as happened recently - for catwalk fashion show!

Studio

I am starting a small home studio from my flat in central Manchester - I am looking to record soloists and/or duos to produce EP's for people. As this is a new service I will charge very little - most likely just expences.

Education

I want to teach you violin! Or, if you work for or represent an institution, I have experience of giving workshops in special needs schools - with the gypsy band or alone using electronics and 'loops'.
